| | Virtual PC x64 on Windows 7 x64 host Hi! I' running this system: - Intel P8600 with VT-x enabled - Virtual PC SP1 x64 - Host: Windows 7 Beta x64 - Guest: Windows XP Pro SP3 x86 - Virtual Machine Additions installed Questions: - Why does VPC install on Program Files (x86) instead of just "Program Files", since the host is Windows 7 Beta x64? - Why does VPC run in 32 bit mode? Process in Task Manager shows up as "Virtual PC.exe *32" - The guest Virtual Machine - Windows XP Pro SP3 x86 - is very slow! The same machine running on VPC SP1 x86 running on a - Windows XP Pro SP3 x86 - host is perfect. |

| | Re: Virtual PC x64 on Windows 7 x64 host Thank you both for your answers @Mark Rae I wasn´t expecting it to be perfect, just wondering why I had installed the 64-bit version and it was running in 32 bit mode in a 64-bit OS host. @Bob Campbell Your're right! It is a 32-bit app! I wrongfully assumed it was a 64-bit app because of the filename and that there was also a 32-bit file for download... I'll be waiting for VPC 2007 SP2 ![]() |
