VPC 2007 SP1 upgrade

I've got a number of VMs I created with VPC 2007. Are there any known
problems with upgrading to SP1? In other words, will SP1 be invisible to
the VMs when I start them after I upgrade to SP1?

Thanks,
Dean

No, but you must absolutely make sure that:

a) none of your VMs is in a saved state

b) all of your VMs are completely shut down

c) you reapply the Additions on every VM after upgrading

The operating systems running on VMs don't actually know they're running on
VMs - they have no need to know this...

Re: VPC 2007 SP1 upgrade

Mark,

I shut down all my saved VMs and installed VPC SP1.

On one of my VMs (XPpro SP2) I used a domain logon. When I started it up
and entered my domain credentials it claimed it could not access the DC.
I'm able to log on using the local admin account and I can see the DC on the
network, but when I try to log on with my domain credentials I keep getting
the same error. I'd really like to use the domain account because I had a
whole user environment there that I'm loath to lose.

Any advice?

Thanks,
Dean
