One way network connection problems

I'm running MS Virtual PC 2007 on my Vista SP1 system.

I'm using the Virtual Image of Visual Studio 2010 CTP (Windows Server 2008
Standard). I want to connect to SQL Server 2008 installed on the image but
can't get any connection. Vista and virtual machine are in the same IP
network.

Inside the virtual machine I can access my Vista PC without any problems
(ping, shares etc.) through my network.

My problem is, I can't get any access from my Vista PC to the virutal
machine through my network. The first adapter in the virtual machine settings
is set to my Vista PCs network card driver.

Can anyone help me to get access from my Vista PC to the virtual machine ?

Firewall settings on the virtual machine are most likely stopping the
access. Check that the Windows Firewall is set up correctly.

That was exactly the problem. I switched on the file sharing exception in
the Windows Firewall and ping and access worked. The only thing I had to add
was the SQL Server Port to get also access outside the virtual machine.

Thanx a lot.
