yes it works fine here all i did was install the vmadditions and reboot no
problems yours is slow because you don't have the additions installed your
700 meg is plenty for running 7 in a vm i have have 7 in a vm with just 512
megs and it ran fine periods are your friend!

I get the same thing, when asking on the tehnet forums seems others having
the same problems. Dragging and dropping or copying and pasting in and out
of the guest seems to create that folder with nothing inside it. Most have
said to network the host and guest and do it that way. I did and found that
to work better.

Re: Virtual Machine Additions doesn't work with win 7 7000

Virtual PC encountered an error on the host while copying files.

An error in virtual PC has occurred (d6).

that is the problme and beside that windows 7 runs very slowly in virtual pc
2007 sp1 now i know i have an old computer but this is quite ridicilus how
slow it is so perhaps it's time for virtual PC 2009 or at least SP2

10x in advance for all your help.

I am noticing more on my laptop that windows 7 is running much slower and
runs at almost 100%cpu. I am wondering when I add memory if this will
change but the host is running around 45% cpu running vista now.
On the desktop- Windows 7 as the guest runs about 50% cpu and the laptop
should do better since it is a duel core 2 processor when the desktop is an
amd dual processor. I do not understand why

Laptops generally have slower hard drives 4200 or 5400rpm drives
instead of 7200rpm.
Also, CPU power savings will drastically lower a VM's performance.
When the CPU is throttled back everything in a VM is affected.

Short answer is no.

Longer answer.

1. Nothing has been announced about a new version of VPC, although the
product group insist it is not dead and something is being developed.

2. I would not expect to see VMAdditions which support for Win 7 until
after RTM of Win 7.
