Virtual PC - New version or Future Plans?

Are there any news about future releases of Virtual PC? Is this project live
or dead?

As I can see all people's mind currently taken by Hyper-V, all talks about
server virtualization (Hyper-V) and there is nothing about personal desktop
virtualization like Virtual PC. It is sad to this finest project .

May be someone from MS could explain the future of this project?

Thanks.

Last word from Ben Armstrong (http://blogs.msdn.com/Virtual_PC_Guy/) on the
subject was that a successor to / upgrade for VPC was "actively being
developed" and that the project "is not dead" - that was quite a while
ago...

Personally, I don't think there's much point in speculating about the future
of Virtual PC... If a new version comes out, great! If it doesn't, something
else will surely take its place. E.g. there's no technical reason why
Microsoft couldn't integrate the functionality directly into Windows 7...

As of this moment, the only people who know for sure are not saying...
