I use an application called 'Synergy' which allows me to use the same mouse and keyboard I use for my Mac to control my PC. If you already have a monitor and they can see each other over a TCP/IP network, Synergy should work. You can even copy and paste text between computers. Just roll your mouse off one screen and it appears on the other computer's screen. The only problem is remembering that you have to use the ctrl key instead of the apple key for shortcuts, but otherwise it's pretty flawless.
