| | VMRC & SCVMM2008 issues... Hi Fellas: I recently migrated from SCVMM2007 to 2008 and suddenly, when I try to remote any of the vm's (on a 2k5 host) I intermittently get just a black screen (no error). I am very dependent on VMRC as this is how my vendors connect to various VM's in my environment. Is there a System Center discussion group? I didn't see it in the list. Also, is there an equivalent mechanism for remote connection (other than RDP) for Hyper-V driven VM's? Thanks! |

I'll never understand why all the products cannot be in one forum (like this fine one)... | | Re: VMRC & SCVMM2008 issues... I am signed in and the link still does not work - oh well... I ended up solving my own issue. It looks like SCVMM2K8 changed the security access to the VM's up a bit. From my personal workstation, under the Administration tab, I wasn't able to see a General item. On the SCVMM server console itself, this tab was available. After clicking on the General tab, there was an item called Remote Control where it allowed me to add AD users/groups that have access to VMRC or VMConnect and the associated ports. Not it works - go figure! "Steve Jain [MVP]" wrote: Quote: > On Wed, 28 Jan 2009 11:28:01 -0800, KingBuzzo > <KingBuzzo@xxxxxx> wrote: > > > The link below works for me.
