| | Cannot install sound device drivers in Win-7 I used the "Vista" option when setting up my virtual Win-7 beta pc, however, during installation, Win-7 could not set up sound drivers. My XP host PC uses Realtek HD Audio drivers. So I downloaded and installed Realtek's Vista version of their drivers, but Win-7 device manager lists the device in an error state "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" Is there a fix for this, or are there other sound drivers (eg, legacy) that I might install instead? Thanks -- Don |

If you didn't, shut down the VM, make a new .vmc config file and attach the existing VHD to it, then boot up, and reinstall the VM Additions. -- Cheers, Steve Jain, Virtual Machine MVP http://vpc.essjae.com/ |
