| | Re: With antivirus using in virtualpc? Bob, is it important and/or necessary to install an antivirus on the Virtual PC that I just installed under Vista 64-bit? That is, does it leave my host computer vulnerable? So, if you had just bought a new physical machine and added it into your network, would you install anti-malware software on it? Of course you would! Therefore, you need to do the same with any virtual machine which has access to the Internet. http://vpc.visualwin.com/ngfaq.aspx#17 -- Mark Rae ASP.NET MVP http://www.markrae.net |

| | Re: With antivirus using in virtualpc? My sincere thanks for this very succinct answer. I'd been searching the Internet for just such an answer. I installed AVG free. | | Re: With antivirus using in virtualpc? Yes, I do have Internet access, tho I have not set up shared folders yet. So I installed AVG Free software, rather than add Norton 360, which I use on the host Vista machine. I didn't want to slow the VM down more than necessary. Thanks.
