| | Shared Folders and File Services I noticed that the SFN on find file operations through a shared folder (x: drive mapped to d:\xyz which is a FAT32 - didn't try NTFS) is messed up many times (but not all the time). Seems sometimes they pad it to the old format with spaces. FILE .EXT for example, but other times the correct one like FILE.EXT, and in cases while you have a shorter extension (FILE.EX comes out as "FILE.EX "). It was processing 1000's of files and probably half had a problem with the SFN being returned in the find structure. VPC2007 |

You will be *much* better off by > forgetting shared folders and using normal networking. I use W2K as VM in VPC2007 ( on vista 64 Home Premium ) to be able to use 32bit VPN AT&T client. VPN seems to redirect all traphic through itself, as one can see by netstat -r command. -- Poutnik |
