16 bit DOS app

I would like to know if my legacy 16 bit DOS application can run under
VirtualPC 2007 on a 64-bit computer. Will I need to have a DOS operating
system installed or does the virtual machine built by VirtualPC 2007 already
have DOS in place? Thanks for your help.

If you DOS app doesn't need specific hardware, then yes, it's likely
it will run fine.

And yes, you will need to install DOS in a virtual machine in VPC for
it to work.

Almost certainly.

Yes, just like on a physical computer - there is no difference as far as
software is concerned...
