USB Ports Problem.

I am trying to set up my Logitec MOMO Racing Weel on a windows 98 on Virtual
pc. While i was installing the drivers on 98 virtual, in the background I
got a message on vista saying Logitec MOMO blahblahblah... So to sum it all
up. The USB Ports on my computer works for Vista and not the 98 on virtual
PC...

But.

I can get a very small amount of control when I use the conntroller on 98
but it is very un-even.

You won't be able to use any USB device inside a VPC2007 virtual
machine because the USB subsystem is not emulated in the guest....
The only way USB devices are accessible is if they are a keyboard or a
mouse, in which case they are emulated as PS/2 devices and if they are
pure storage devices appearing as drive letters on the host. In that
case you can use network sharting from the host to the guest. But tha
is not using USB in the guest because that is impossible.

Look at VMWare instead....

Re: USB Ports Problem.

It's not a problem, a simple search would reveal to you that VirtualPC does
not support USB.

That's correct - Virtual PC doesn't emulate the USB subsystem.

If need that functionality in a virtual machine, you'll need to use
different virtualisation software e.g. VMWare...

No need. It *will* work! I use it all the time when I must handle USB
devices.
Also VMWare Player 2 has USB support but you will have problems
creating a VM with Player....

Really? I simply create VM configuration files using Notepad and VMDKs
using qemu-img.exe. ;-)

Have tried it on VirtualBox and the system goes bananas because it is not
possible to properly share an USB connection synchronous.
