| | HowTo: Disregard changes when closing Using: MS VPC-2007-SP1 I'm having problems disregarding changes when I use VPC. I made some changes with an XpPro-SP3 virtual machine, and then closed the VM. I was expecting the changes to be ignored/disregarded, but when I restarted the VM, the changes were still there. IIRC, at one point there were multiple options when you clicked on the upper right X to close the VM, including: * Save state * Close and save state * Close and ignore changes (don't remember exact wording, might have been a 4th) I updated computers and re-install VPC-07-SP1, and am no longer seeing the options above, but only the basic: * Save state * Turn off Am I doing something wrong, or have a setting wrong? I want to be able to start a VM, try something out, and then close the VM and have all changes ignored / disregarded / thrown away. What I'm doing now is saving a "master" of the "vanilla" VM of XpPro-SP3, and copying it back as a way to "put everything back the way it was". |

It's in the VM's settings and the VM has to be in a fully shut down state to change it. -- Bob Comer On Wed, 11 Mar 2009 06:39:39 -0600, "L.Allan" <lynn.d.allan@xxxxxx> wrote: Quote: >Using: MS VPC-2007-SP1 > >I'm having problems disregarding changes when I use VPC.
