Sharing a printer on the VPC

Sharing a printer on the VPC

First the situation:
I have a very old printer on the network. There is absolutely no winXp
drivers for this printer...
so i thought if a had a virtual win98 running i could install the printer
throught the network then share it with my fisical pc so i could print
through the winxp...

The problem:
the printer is installed on the VPC (win98) it's shared, but i cant access
the VPC through the network...
the VPC access all other machines on the net but no one access the VPC

i thought about dsabling the NAT and give the VPC an IP address through DHCP
but the MAC address of the VPC is the same of the fisical pc

any ideas please?

Exactly!
The use of NAT will make it impossible for the host to access the
guest!

Which is completely false!
The guest has a *different* MAC address and will get its IP from the
network DHCP server just fine. Why do you think this is the default
setting whan making a new virtual machine using the wizard?
