OKAY.

Running Microsoft Virtual PC in Windows XP Sp3..

1) SET SHARED NAT, and REBOOT THE VIRTUAL MACHINE, go to start menu then restart.

...selecting your wireless network adapter itself doesn't seem to work.

At least on Dell inspiron 6400, you will see an Intel Based Adapter..
Which means if you really wanted you could use that registry method..
And maybe add the NetworkAddress registry key value or whatever.. To allow it to pickup a proper Mac address.

Don't you think responding to a more than 3 years old thread is a bit
overkill?
Most probably the poster who had the problem has long since moved on
and is not watching anymore....
