| | Black screen problems using VPC 2007 SP1 on Win7 I'm using MS Virtual PC 2007 SP1 on the public beta of Windows 7. When running a virtual machine, the screen constantly goes black, then redraws slowly, if at all. If I move the virtual machine window, the screen will redraw, but still continue to go black. I'm running a Dell Studio XPS 435MT, Intel Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz (8CPUs) with 6GB RAM, running Windows 7 public beta 64-bit, ATI Radeon HD 3450, dual 19" monitors. |

| | RE: Black screen problems using VPC 2007 SP1 on Win7 Sorry, please disregard. I just updated my display driver and the problem seems to have been resolved. Thanks anyway! | | RE: Black screen problems using VPC 2007 SP1 on Win7 Hey Jason, Do you mind telling me how to update the display driver cuz I'm having the same problem. As is this update done on the virtual OS or the host (a.k.a., my laptop)? "Jason Coon" wrote: Quote: > Sorry, please disregard. | | RE: Black screen problems using VPC 2007 SP1 on Win7 I updated the display driver on my host machine. I have an ATI card, so I just went to their site and downloaded the latest driver. They actually had one specifically for Windows 7 64-bit. "Larry" wrote: Quote: > Hey Jason, Do you mind telling me how to update the display driver cuz I'm > having the same problem. | | RE: Black screen problems using VPC 2007 SP1 on Win7 My host tells me the display driver is the latest. I may post this issue to a new post and see what feedback I get. Gotta run now though. Cheers. "Jason Coon" wrote: Quote: > I updated the display driver on my host machine. I have an ATI card, so I > just went to their site and downloaded the latest driver. | | RE: Black screen problems using VPC 2007 SP1 on Win7 Jason, What OS did you install in the VPC. Will Win98 guest run on the Win7 host? Do the Win98 apps slow down? -- Wesley "Jason Coon" wrote: Quote: > I updated the display driver on my host machine. | | Re: Black screen problems using VPC 2007 SP1 on Win7 Also, what version of Win 7 are you running? This problem came up in build 7000 but should be fixes in the RC (7100).
