| | Questions about Windows 7 virtual stuff Greetings 1. I see the new Virtual PC is being touted as for Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate and Enterprise versions. Does anyone know if it will actually work in the Home version (in the same way that VPC 2007 isn't supported in some versions of Vista, but actually works fine in practice)? 2. If it won't work in the Home version, will VPC 2007 work in Windows 7? 3. In any event, will the new VPC allow creation of virtual machines other than XP (I'm only seeing it refer to XP) 4. This is probably the stupid question - but! - on my Vista Home host, I have set up a Windows 7 RC guest. Can I install VPC2007 into that guest and create a host within the host?? I can see that this depends firstly on question 2 above, but I don't understand the concepts well enough to know if you can have a host within a host. Thanks __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4060 (20090507) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com |

Also you should look closely the EULA terms, for example the Vista Home EULA explicitly banned running it inside any kind of Virtual PC. Quote: > 4. Historically, most VPC products have not done that. -- Jakob Bøhm, M.Sc.Eng. * jb@xxxxxx * direct tel:+45-45-90-25-33 Netop Solutions A/S * Bregnerodvej 127 * DK-3460 Birkerod * DENMARK http://www.netop.com * tel:+45-45-90-25-25 * fax:+45-45-90-25-26 Information in this mail is hasty, not binding and may not be right.
