| | Re: How to know vPC 2007 base machine ip I presume you mean that you have logged into the virtual machine. VPC2007 is the name of the application. Why would you need to know the IP of the host? Doesn't it show up in Network Places (or whatever it is called in the OS you are using)? The fact that it is based on a host PC does not matter at all. If I stretch your question a bit: If you log on with RDP to a physical PC (running XP Pro or similar) then how would you go about finding out if the remote PC is actually physically a desktop or a tower model? And if you want to know the color of the chassis? Not simple using just software, right? And also not very useful info either.... What you are really saying is that you would like to know the IP of a computer by logging on with RDP to *another* computer... It makes much more sense if you logged on to the *host* PC with RDP and then checked its IP address.
