a naive question on VM and webcam

is there anyway to allow vm to use host webcam or that of the Rdp client pc
to remote session on a vm?

I see the vista rdp client does have options for allowing the use of local
plug and play devices in the remote session. if rdp client webcam is
considered plug and play, would that mean I can use in the remote controlled
vm like windows 7
