If you leave your VMs running when you hibernate, you'll get that
duplicate MAC conflict.
Its a known issue, it happens to be when I hibernate before I save
state my VMs.

IIRC, I've reported it to higher powers and there's no fix for it yet,
other than save your VMs before hibernating.

Pretty sure. I tested it one time in a C++ application, but I cannot find the
code now. I think I may have written it in a virtual machine that I threw away.

Re: vpc 2007 vs vs2005

thx. I thought it is a bug issue. glad you reported to "higher powers"
the ms support guy wanted be to do some sort of reporting and dump. Looks
like I can skip that for now

Also there is another issue for starting saved state VM after hibernation.
after a few saving state before hibernation and start up, an VM`s response
to keyboard becomes buggy such as
~ instead of "
` instead of the normal single quote
nothing for the backward quote beside the one key, also nothing the tilda
key (~)

and other special characters key press get misinterpreted

btw some of the special char I typed looks wrong because of the vm saved
state issue

Re: vpc 2007 vs vs2005

There is option of Virtual server 2005 R1 sp1 for each VM as to
shutdown, save state, turn off

There is, but that's on shutdown of the OS, not hibernation.

No! The more info they have the better. If you can replicate it
also, it makes the bug case even stronger.
