| | Virtual PC Painfully Slow I just reimaged my workstation and reinstalled virtual pc. Both the host and guest are Windows XP Pro. Total ram is 1 gb, of which 600GB is dedicated to the guest. The guest is very slow, even when just using IE8 and no other applications are open. It wasn't like this prior to the reload, is there a setting that I am missing? I have tried adjusting the ram as well as ensured that hardware virtualization is enabled in the bios and on the guest as well. |

Do you have the guest's virtual hard disk on the same partition as the host OS? -- Mark Rae ASP.NET MVP http://www.markrae.net |

Anyways, for those that have this issue, I've added this to options.xml <virtual_machines.> <enable_idle_thread type="boolean">true</enable_idle_thread> </virtual_machines> |
