There are some situations in which I wish I could break execution of the virtual machine and see what's going on -- think SoftICE but one running at the virtual hardware level and not within the machine context. I recognize that emulation is different than virtualization, but many system emulators I work with for "vintage" computers have this capability and I find it handy. Yes, it's cheating a little, but I find it helpful. Thanks. |

| | Re: Debugger?? Benjamin -- Thanks. There's my product suggestion for the 2010 version :-) Is there a public API embedded in the virtualization core which would allow this? Running an emulation project of my own, I have some programming experience that maybe I could tackle this. | | Re: Debugger?? Ok, thanks a lot. An API is my product suggestion #2. You just need a few callback registration routines and you should be good to go.
