Formatting a drive D:

I added a 2nd Virtual Drive and after reading the forum I found why it didn't
show up; I still need to format it.

I tried to open a cmd window and but Fdisk wasn't available.
I tried Format, but it required that I have the volume name, which for some
reason I couldn't match. It also required me to use FAT32 and didn't allow
NTFS.

I simply want a data & program drive with no OS installed. Can't I easily
do this from cmd window within my XP guest OS?

Yes you can, in exactly the same way you would if you had added a physical
drive to a physical computer... Remember that, as far as software (both OS
and apps) is concerned, there is no difference between a physical machine
and a virtual machine...

Steve has provided you with the answer, but this isn't a Virtual PC question
per se..
