East Asian Languages

I need to be able to view a webpage that is in Chinese. I use a virtual
instance of Windows XP for experimentation when I don't want to risk
creating problems with my main system. I installed East Asian language
support on my virtual instance of Windows XP, but it doesn't seem to be
working correctly. Now I'm wondering if the main system also needs the
East Asian language support for this to work? Thanks!

No, absolutely not! THe host system and guest system are completely
different PC:s.

I have done this too but in a different way, I simply created a couple
of virtual machines and then installed XP-Pro Japanese version or
Chinese version.
Then I could be sure that there were no leftovers from a US-English
version affecting the applications under test.
Of course I have access to these OS versions through my MSDN
subscription...
