Other than making sure you're not using the Shared Networking option
(NAT), it is no difference than with physical PCs.

Make sure they both have IPs, can ping etc other, etc. There's no
"magic" for VMs.

First thing to check, XP's firewall, This is the biggest issue with
non-connectivity.

Can you ping between the XP and VPC1? Are they both in the same
subnet?

Re: Access multiple VPC on single machine

my current firewall setting in XP;
-it is on
-under exception tab file n printing is enabled
-under last tab my wireless connection is enabled and under ICMP section i
have also enabled "incoming echo request"

same settings are being done in VPC

still i cant ping VPC from XP or vice versa; cmd windows prompts request
time out

On a command prompt in each of the virtual machines and on the host
machine do as follows:

ipconfig /all

Then capture the output and post it here (specify from which machine
each come).

This may give some additional information that can help helping you.
