Are you using other software that would block port 80 on the VM, AV, 3rd party firewall, etc? Can you open the website locally on the VM? If the webpage is not available then you have not set up the server or issued an erroneous URL. So now the issue is *not* a VPC issue at all, just application/server setup on the involved machines. So in actual fact you would be better off asking on a relevant NG for that, for example microsoft.public.inetserver.iis or an apache newsgroup. My questions: On the guest machine, which webserver did you install? There are Apache (configured through the conf file) or MS IIS (a lot more involved to configure) and a few others to choose from. If you installed one of these, then the next question would be how you configured your website access? Different methods on Apache and IIS, but must be done properly before you can get inter-machine connectivity. What is the URL you give to your browser in order to load the website? And please do not top-post like you have done so far, it makes your replies that much more difficult to read. Insert your answers after the corresponding question and your bulk remarks at the bottom, please. -- Bo Berglund (Sweden) |
