Utilize multiple cores?

Hi all

I am running Microsoft Virtual PC 2007SP1 on Windows 7 64bit.

I hav emultiple virtual machines, and some times I want to run two of
them at the same time. This causes the Virtual PC process on my host
operating system to use up to 50% CPU. But I'd like virtual PC to run
to processes, so the virtual machines can get more CPU time.

Is there any way of doing this?

Thanks.

no, all the VMs in VPC207sp1 share one core.

I'm not sure you'd want to unless your system had more than 2 CPUs.
This way at least you are assured of good response time in your host
OS.

How about Virtual Server? Can you assign different VMs to different cores with
that? (I'm contemplating a migration to 64-bit Windows 7 on a dual-Xeon system, and
shopping for options.)

Not necessarily...

"Although you can run Virtual Server on a multiprocessor computer, each virtual
machine can use a maximum of one processor. "
