Hi,
I currently use Hyper-V Beta (one included with Win2008 RTM).
Question: when Hyper-V RTM released, will I be able to upgrade (and use
exising VMs)?
Thanks,

No, you will not be able to directly upgrade. You will be able to use the
existing VMs by recreating them and pointing the new VM to the existing VHD
files. (This is covered in the RC installation documentation. )

I was offered the RC0 to RC1 upgrade from WU. It worked great. I was kind of
hoping the RTM version would work the same.

Upgrading Hyper-V will probably work. Whether your vms will still run is
the real question.
With the upgrade from RC0 to RC1 everything worked fine for me. There
have been a few reports in newgroups and forums of problems. Some were
caused by vms left in a saved state, some by having unmerged snapshots (both
known problems) but there were a few other worrying ones. I know that they
were aiming at making RC1 upgradeable to RTM, but we will have to wait and
see.
Like Charlie I would play safe and delete the vms, then re-create them
from the existing vhds.

Notice that the OP was going from Beta 2 to RC - that almost certainly won't
work and isn't supported. From RC0 to RC1 pretty much worked if you didn't
have saved states. And in theory, RC1 to RTM should work, but I'm with you -
I'm not planning on it.
