Hyper-V No Network Adapter in Win XP Guest afer Migrating fom VMWare using vmdk2vhd

i tried to move a running win xp prof guest to hyper-v using the
vmdk2vhd.exe utility from VMToolkit:
http://vmtoolkit.com/files/folders/c...rs/entry8.aspx
at the first glance all seemed to work fine. but no nic was available.
so i tried to install the driver for an intel 21140 nic manual. failed.

any clues are welcome

Stupid question, but did you either install the Hyper-V integration
services, or add a legacy network adapter to the VM?
