I went through those same step for RC0 to RC1 and then from RC1 to RTM
without too many problems. I did the 2 nodes in less than an hour however,
but I did do multiple failovers between the nodes when they were at
different revision levels and they continued to work correctly. Not sure if
Microsoft would recommend leaving them that way for a number of days, but it
seems to be possible. Why the wait between upgrading the nodes? From what
I have experienced, the upgrades have gone very nicely.
