VMRCPlus 1.8 access denied message

Hi,
we use VMRCPlus since 1.6 version without problems.
After upgrade to VMRCPlus 1.8 we have message:
"Acces is denied (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))"
when we try to connect to virtual server.
VMRCPlus 1.6 and 1.7 on same servers works.
VMRCPlus installed on Virtual server 2005 R2 sp1 (with KB948515) machine and
account is domain administrator account.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

RE: VMRCPlus 1.8 access denied message

Hi,
I am having the same problem.
I have updated couple of systems with VMRCPlus v. 1.7 to 1.8. New version
works fine in WS2008/VS2005R2SP1 but I get the same error with
WS2003R2/VS2005R2SP1. I have tried with local administrator and domain admin.

RE: VMRCPlus 1.8 access denied message

Same problem here. I've read about how VMRCplus has no support for alternate
credentials, but the VS host machine and the machine with VMRCplus are in the
same domain, my domain account has local admin privilages on both machines,
and still no go. VMRCplus 1.7 had no problems whatsoever.

Help!

Re: VMRCPlus 1.8 access denied message

I figured it out! I installed .NET 3.5 and the problem went away. Go figure?

Re: VMRCPlus 1.8 access denied message

I installed .Net 3.5 on my W2k3 R2 server running VS2005 R2 SP1 and VMRCPlus
1.8 is still not working. I can't find VMRCPlus 1.7.

it's wierd.
Previous condition: .NET Framework 2.0
error: "Access is denied. (Exeption from HRESULT:0x80070005)

install .NET Framework 3.0 --> the same error message.
nearly install .NET Framework 3.5 because of suggestions here.

I find that I had .NET Framework 2.0 SP1.
After install, it works perfectly.

So, you need to try. doing a lot of trials and errors
