| | Trust Between Forest Hey I have virtual server set up with two forest, both with 2003 server domains, to do some testing and I am trying to establish trust between the two but it doesn’t work. I have raised the level of both domains and DNS appears to be working correctly, I can resolve both FQDN's. I read that VM ware had or still has an issue with trust, is there also an issue with MS VS? |

| | Re: Trust Between Forest I know of no issue, here. If there's a problem, it's a standard issue of AD and networking and probably Windows Firewall. I know I've seen cases where Windows Firewall caused issues. The only solution I have found to reliably resolve that was to temporarily disable the firewall service in the Services.msc on both DCs. Once things are working, you should be able to re-enable the service. But assuming normal connectivity between the two DCs has been established, then you're dealing with a non-Virtual Server problem. Virtualization shouldn't enter in to it. Charlie.
