| | RE: SBS 2003 I'm not sure about the licensing terms, except that you can't separate the server technologies in SBS across multiple environments, whether virtual or physical. In other words, you would need to install SBS in one virtual server or one physical server unless you have more than one SBS license. MS supports SBS 2003 as a guest OS in Virtual Server 2005 R2: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserv...q.mspx#title53 (see Q. Which operating systems can be run as guests in Virtual Server 2005 R2?) More licensing info from MS on SBS in virtual environment: http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...whitepaper.doc (search in doc for "Small Business Server") -Joshua "msnews.microsoft.com" wrote: Quote: > Hi, > i need to virtualize a Microsoft Windows SBS Standard, but i don't know if > this is possible in according with Microsoft license agreement > > TIA > > > |

| | Re: SBS 2003 Standard isn't an issue. Premium would be - ISA isn't supported in a virtual environment. SBS is a very resource intensive application - I'd recommend giving it as much RAM in the VM as possible. For most SBS questions, the microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs group is your best bet. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/blogs/xperts64 http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/charlie.russel "msnews.microsoft.com" <msnews@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:ueaEvC99IHA.1420@xxxxxx Quote: > Hi, > i need to virtualize a Microsoft Windows SBS Standard, but i don't know if > this is possible in according with Microsoft license agreement > > TIA > |
