| | Error 0xc0000005 Virtualising a 2003 enterprise server on Hyper-V I have a server running windows 2003 enterprise edition, which is domain server and dns server, it is getting old and I am trying to virtualise it onto a new server running windows 2008 enterprise. I have used ntbackup to do a ASR backup to a share on the new server and created a vfd from the floppy produced. I have created a vm and mounted the 2003 iso on a dvd and the vfd on the floppy drive. I can boot and enter the asr process, the process finds the backup once I give it a username and password and starts to restore the files. About a third of the way through the restore and error message appears saying that the new machine is missing some facilities |
