| | Small business hyper-v layout I'm a sysadmin of a small company currently running 3 physical servers: 1) Windows 2003 x86 / DC / Echange 2003 2) Windows 2003 x86 / Apache / Serv-U FTP 3) GTA firewall (http://www.gta.com/firewalls/gbware/) I’m now working on replacing the aging hardware and software with a new, single system + hyper-v configuration: Parent: Windows 2008 x64 / DC Hyper-v: Windows 2008 x64 / Exchange 2007 Hyper-v: Windows 2008 x64 / Apache / Serv-U FTP Hyper-v: GTA firewall (http://www.gta.com/firewalls/gbware/) Assuming the single new system is powerful enough (quad core, 8GB, 4 disks RAID 0+1) is the layout above possible. And if so, is it the most efficient? Other recommendations, tips or suggestions? Thanks in advance, ---Mirco. |
