Hyper-V Problems

I'm having a problem with hyper-v, I have a machine 8GB of ram on x64
2k8 enterprise. I can't get hyper-v to allocate more then 4gb to my vm
machines.

I keep getting the error:

Unable to allocate 2048 MB of RAM: Insufficient system resources exist
to complete the requested service.

I have more then 3GB free so there should be no problem.

This and a couple of technet posts is all i could find on the
problem:
http://blogs.msdn.com/tvoellm/archiv...of-memory.aspx

and

http://forums.technet.microsoft.com/...-85cf4350f2f2/

I applied the fix (KB953585) and manually set my pagefile as suggested
in message board with still the same problem.

Any help or ideas on this problem would be of great help.

Thanks

Re: Hyper-V Problems

I am running into the same exact problem. I have installed the 953585 patch
and it worked after 1 reboot. I rebooted again and it failed to mount them
again. This needs prompt/proper MS attention. This is bascially one of the
articles I found along with the KB:

Re: Hyper-V Problems

After an hour on the phone with premiere support, the KB950233 fixed it and
we can now use all of our memory.
