can I install virtual server 2005 r2 sp1on Vista Ultimate x64?

website does list XP sp2 or later as supported host operating system... can
I install on vista ultimate x64? if so are there any limitations on guest
os's? I have a machine I'm going to use for testing and need to be able to
install as guest OS's: xp sp2, server 2008, and linux. The machine I'll be
using has vista ultimate x64 sp1, plenty of hard drive space and ram, and
2.2 GHz dual core cpu.

Yes you can. The admin site runs off IIS so it will need port 80 on a
client version of Windows.

Not as long as you have a license for the OS you're installing.
