| | RE: virtual machine is stuck in "turning off" mode We are also having this issue - was a resolution found? Restarting our host which has several production servers is a difficult solution to implement. . . The VM is stuck in the "turning off" state. The VM screen no longer displays in the thumbnail view of the VS web app. The only VM management option that the VS web app gives is "Edit Configuration". As of right now, we have 4 VM's stuck like this and they have been that way for 4 hours. They don't seem to be consuming any CPU cycles. > > We could probably reboot the VS machine, but we'd like to avoid doing that in a production environment. > > Any help would be appreciated. > > Thanks, > James > > > Posted via http://www.VirtualServerFaq.com - Brought to you by Business Information Technology Shop - http://www.bitshop.com > |

In each case, it required a reboot of the parent. ![]() -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/blogs/xperts64 http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/charlie.russel "Bill Davidson" <bill.davidson@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:5848dc59-1287-4e04-b16b-a5e66b4c5873@xxxxxx Quote: > Quote: >> hi. >> >> I tried to turn off one of our virtual machines and it is stuck in >> "turning >> off" mode. >> I can't remove it. >> >> any ideas? >> >> thanks > Ditto.
