| | limiting the number of logins (by the same user) on a Hyper-V machine Hello. We have a Windows 2008 server running a Windows 2003 Hyper-V instance. We use RDT to connect to the W2K3 instance from our desktops. The problem is Hyper-V allows 2 connections by the same user, so when my coworker logs on as user A and I also log on as user A (we must be the same user the way things work here) we both get separate login sessions. When we login this way, we need to be assured of being the only user A on the box, even if that means blowing the other user off (which is what happens with MS VPC. So, question: Is there a setting or option to limit the number to just 1? Thanks. CB |

| | Re: limiting the number of logins (by the same user) on a Hyper-V machine If you're using Remote Desktop to connect, then you can set in the Terminal Services Configuration console. (Administrative Tools -> Terminal Services). The setting is "restrict each user to a single session". Finally, if you choose to, you can use the Hyper-V Connect utility, which only allows a single session be default. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/blogs/xperts64 http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/charlie.russel "cb" <example@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:61tdc4lg9tt8ul13kt5i528lk47r34cvrg@xxxxxx Quote: > Hello.
