| | Moving Virtual Machine from Hyper-v to Virtual Server 2005 I need to ask if it is possible to move a virtual machine from Hyper-V to Virtual Server 2005. And if it is what are the steps. -- NY1508 |

| | Re: Moving Virtual Machine from Hyper-v to Virtual Server 2005 Should be. Uninstall ICs. Remove VM from Hyper-V. Copy VHDs to VS machine. Create new machine in VS, attach drives you moved, re-do the networking, start it up. What won't move: Any VM that is 64-bit. Any VM that requires >1 Proc or >3.5 GB of RAM. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/blogs/xperts64 http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/charlie.russel "NY1508" <NY1508@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:92ED797E-8F29-428E-AFCA-68B9956E0DD4@xxxxxx Quote: >I need to ask if it is possible to move a virtual machine from Hyper-V to > Virtual Server 2005. | | Re: Moving Virtual Machine from Hyper-v to Virtual Server 2005 Also have a look at VMC to Hyper-V Import Tool Available at http://blogs.technet.com/matthts/arc...available.aspx However do not forget to remove the VM Additions before moving the VHD from VS/VPC to HV. Hope this helps! -- Kurt Roggen [BE] http://trycatch.be/blogs/roggenk "NY1508" <NY1508@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:92ED797E-8F29-428E-AFCA-68B9956E0DD4@xxxxxx Quote: >I need to ask if it is possible to move a virtual machine from Hyper-V to > Virtual Server 2005.
