| | Re: Not able to login to Virtual server Administrator website What's error are you seeing? I find that I have to use my domain\userid when I log in on my machine. The other common issue is that IIS might not be installed. VMRC Plus is a great work around as well "HawleyBeach" <HawleyBeach@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:B500F43D-4F9D-46B2-AFC9-D329BC5543C6@xxxxxx Quote: > Hi > I have just installed Virtual Server 2005 sp1 (with administrator account) > on XP Pro, I am not able to login to Administrator website using the > account > i login to the PC. > Thanks > Hawley > > |

| | Re: Not able to login to Virtual server Administrator website our connect string should be: vmrc://computerfullname:5900/VMName (Providing you didn't change the default ports and enabled the VMRC server.) -- Bob Comer On Sun, 12 Oct 2008 21:22:01 -0700, HawleyBeach <HawleyBeach@xxxxxx> wrote: Quote: > >IIS is installed on my home machine, I am not in a domain. > >On VMRC, I enter vmrc://computerFullName:1024/virtual machine on the >"connect to server" dialog. But i get "no connection". is a completely different program. You need to download and install it to your PC first. VMRC is just a tool to connect to a running virtual machine, whereas VMRCplus is a tool that can replace the VS website for administration of virtual machines as well as allowing connection to the guests. This is where you can download VMRCplus: http://www.microsoft.com/DownLoads/d...displaylang=en (Google VMRCplus and the first hit is this page...) Once you have it running (needs DotNetFramework to run) you just enter the hostname of the PC running Virtual Server and click Connect. -- Bo Berglund (Sweden) |
