Hi,

Is compatibility for Hyper-V concerning modern Intel-Mainboards a "tricky"
thing?

I would like to buy the Intel board S3210SHLC:

Does the board support Hyper-V or do I need more informations to check out
before ordering?

I'd like to combine the above hardware with Xeon X3220 2.4GHZ Socket: 775/
Kentsfield/Cache: 8192 KB/

Obviously this is for a small virtualization solution.

The requirements are pretty straight-forward, but require you to actually
verify them first. The CPU must support the execute disable bit (Intel XD),
and you need to actually turn that on in the BIOS. And the CPU must support
Intel Virtualization Technologies (Intel VT). Again, you'll need to make
sure the BIOS has that enabled as well. To verify that a particular CPU has
what you need, use the Intel Product Comparison Chart. For Xeon processors,
you'll find that at: http://compare.intel.com/pcc/default.aspx?familyID=5.
