| | Virtual Server 2005 Error Hi everyone The system Windows 2003 x64 with Virtual server 2005 R2 1.1.629.0 EE R2 SP1 2 CPU Xeon QuadCore 16 GB RAM The error is: " SERVERNAMEcould not be started because there is not enough physical memory or system resources available" Weird??!!! Machines that are running consume a max of 10GB of memory, plenty disk space available. I should have 6GB to use, why I'm getting this error? I fire up Taskmanager and it shows physical Memory available = 5,3 GB. Why the Virtual machine doesn't start up? Ok the machine starts up, but only with 512MBs of RAM??? I need 2 more machines with 1024Mb of ram each! Thank you. |

| | Re: Virtual Server 2005 Error Thank you everyone for the answers. -No I don't have /3GB switch because this is a x64 bit system and that doesn't apply. -I checked under Taskmanager and I saw the Memory available = 5,3 GB. I think that if I had additional resources consuming my memory I would notice in taskmanager, or maybe wrong? Funny thing, in my storage disks I had more than 600GB available for each disk, and when I tried to copy a VM model to those disks I got unsificient disk space??!!!! WTF... Is this??? After a few tests and debuging I found out that my McAfee 8.5 was the cause of all of my problems. After uninstall Mcafee all problems went away. Now I've to check for patches in Antivirus that don't cause this errors. Anyway thankyou all for your opinions and time. Best regards.
