Windows 2008 Hyper-V

Can I transfer the free guest machine that comes with windows server 2008
standard (hyper-v not installed/enabled) product license to another windows
2008 standard server with hyper-v enabled. Or is the free guest machine bind
to that product key/license/install? If I can how do I do it.

Re: Windows 2008 Hyper-V

You can not transfer it. This isn't a "free guest machine", but rather a
licensing flexibility to allow you to install as both a parent and a child,
so long as the parent is only used for virtualization. Once you use the
license for any role beyond that of virtualization, you no longer _have_ a
second license.
