Vista - RE: How to P2V Windows 2000 Server

Hi

VMM and windows 2000 isn't always that easy. I have done several 2000 and
2003 boxes now and have to say that anything older than 2003 SP2 isn't ideal.
The products simply dont have the depth required.

By far the easiest and most relaible way i have found, even after trialing
SCVMM, is Acronis True Image Server 9.5x.

You can create an image file from within Windows or even from the boot disc,
then simply use the app to convert that image file to a VHD file ready for VS
or HyperV. Its fast and really easy - Ive had no weird issues with hardware
either yet.
