| | RE: How to P2V Windows 2000 Server We have tried this using Arcronis Echo Workstation with Universal Restore... but everytime I convert the tib to a vhd and then create a new VirtualPC using those HDs when I try to boot the Virtual PC it won't start it says "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device" So it doesn't even reconize drives to boot.. Is that what you have been doing but it works for you? "BPG Admin" wrote: Quote: > All, I am trying to convert a Windows 2000 Server into Virtual. I am having > so success here is what I am doing. | | RE: How to P2V Windows 2000 Server Hi yes. There are a few little bits worth notng if you havent already: -make sure you use the server product -ensure the drives are 'basic' that you are imaging -if theres a software mirror - Break it otherwise it wont work. -ensure no compression when creating the image i had the issue you describe but got round it by breaking the software mirror on the box.
