| | Graphics issue trying to install RHEL 5 on Virtual Server Greetings. Im trying to install Linux on VS2005R2, but once the install kicks off the graphics are highly distorted, to the point that it's impossible to even read what the screen says. Before the actual install kicks off it's fine. I can go to the Kernel, do a disk check as recommended. But once Anaconda gets going, it takes a visual dump. Im browsed the web, but mostly the solutions I see are for once the OS in already installed, not just to accomplish the install. |

| | Re: Graphics issue trying to install RHEL 5 on Virtual Server This sounds like one of the things the Virtual Machine Additions from MS do for you. However, this assumes that I have a completed OS install (graphical), which I do not. I am not knowledgeable enough about Linux to install in text mode. Is there a way to kick off the install into 16 or 32 bit color? "Steve Jain [MVP]" wrote: Quote: > On Wed, 12 Nov 2008 15:22:01 -0800, ChrisR > <ChrisR@xxxxxx> wrote: > Quote: > >Greetings. Instead of a fancy GUI you get text boxes to make your selections from, not significantly more difficult. -- Cheers, Steve Jain, Virtual Machine MVP http://vpc.essjae.com/ |
