Does anyone know of a good book on vmware, getting started, design concepts
etc that would be suitable for a novice?

This group is for Microsoft virtualization, not VMware. If you're looking
for info on VMware try their discussion forums on their web site. An Amazon
search wouldn't hurt either.

The snide comments aren't necessary. You're asking for VMware information
in a Microsoft news group. As I said, you should be asking in a VMware
forum, which, as I also said, you can find on the VMware web site. Not
really sure how I could have been any more specific.

Where do you look for advice on Hyper-V? In the VMWare forums?
