| | Re: Processor Error when trying to move to a diffrent Host You don't mention the OS or other details but please look at the "Limit Processor Functionality" checkbox in the Hyper-V Settings for the given VM. you could also examine the number of logical processors assigned to the VM. Hope this helps, --Ryan -- Ryan Sokolowski MVP - Clustering MCT, MCITP x3, MCTS x7, MCSE x2, CCNA, CCDA, BCFP "TheWall" <dclaassen@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:367278C1-858A-47B7-9A1D-C812DDA86268@xxxxxx Quote: > Unable to migrate the virtual machine Server002 because the processor is > not > compatible with the host Server1.dac.local. > > Any way around this? |

| | RE: Processor Error when trying to move to a diffrent Host I had the same problem. Could not migrate a VM between Virtual Server 2005R and HyperV and got the same Processor Error message. The solution to thie problem is as follows: - De-install the VM-Additions from the VM - Shutdown the VM Now you can migrate the VM from a VS2005 server to HyperV. Enjoy!
