| | Unable to store VM in the library (SCVMM) Hyper-V managed by SCVMM08. When I try "Store in Library" for a VM the job fails with the following error: Error 2944 VMM is unable to complete the requested operation because the server name <hyper-v host name> could not be resolved. The server name mentioned is the name of the Hyper-V host where the VM is currently located. SCVMM can perfectly connect this host, stop and start VM's and so on. How I can solve this? Best regards Dajo |

| | Re: Unable to store VM in the library (SCVMM) This sounds like either a name resolution issue or a permissions issue. Also, please verify that you are running the full RTM version of SCVMM, not the trial version. I've heard that this can cause similar issues. Hope this helps, --Ryan -- Ryan Sokolowski MVP - Clustering MCT, MCITP x3, MCTS x7, MCSE x2, CCNA, CCDA, BCFP "Dajo Rybski" <dajo.rybski@_REMOVETHIS_infohos.be> wrote in message news:%23quqXZVVJHA.4384@xxxxxx Quote: > Hyper-V managed by SCVMM08. > > When I try "Store in Library" for a VM the job fails with the following > error: > > Error 2944 VMM is unable to complete the requested operation because the > server name <hyper-v host name> could not be resolved. > > The server name mentioned is the name of the Hyper-V host where the VM is > currently located. I can do everything with this host from SCVMM. It just works fine. I've double checked the setup (DNS,...), no issues. Everything is OK, the only thing that doesn't work is "Store in library".
